Katie Ferguson, a loving mother, daughter, and sister, vanished while on a cross-country trip from Alabama to Wyoming with her estranged boyfriend, Adam Aviles, Jr., their two small children, and their boxer dog.
 

Katie was last seen on October 5, 2023, in Trumann, Arkansas, captured on police body camera footage. Just days later, on October 9, 2023, Aviles was stopped in Morris County, Texas, for traffic violations. Katie was not in the vehicle. Investigators later noted a taped-over bullet hole in the passenger-side door.
 

On November 4, 2023, Aviles’ black 1999 Dodge Durango was discovered abandoned near Cody, Wyoming, with clear signs of foul play. The front passenger seat was missing, a Glock pistol magazine was found, the vehicle smelled of putrefied blood, and investigators confirmed a projectile hole inside and outside the front passenger door.
 

Katie is 5'9" tall, 150–180 lbs, with blue eyes. She is known to dye her hair, which may be brown or blonde. Her family describes her as someone who loved fashion, laughter, and being with her children. She is deeply missed, and her family is desperate for answers about what happened to her.
 

Aviles, 26, has been named a person of interest in Katie’s disappearance and has been convicted on other charges.
